This course is primarily focused on developing the reading, writing, information literacy and verbal skills necessary to function effectively in the workforce, as a participating member of the community beyond school and/or in the pursuit of vocational study. Students complete the learning required for literacy as well as a variety of achievement standards which are all internally assessed. This is a somewhat flexible programme which caters for individual needs and strengths. Students in 11ENF also typically take Foundation Studies.
The goals for this course are to gain at least 10 literacy credits towards achieving Level 1 NCEA.
