To assist students to participate in a Digital Technology society.
In accordance with the new Digital Technologies curriculum, by the end of Year 10 students will be able to decompose problems into an algorithm in such a way that a computing device can understand it. They will be able to program the algorithm with inputs, outputs, sequences, loops, variables and different data types. Students will be able to explain and document their programs as well as structure testing/debugging.
Students will develop spreadsheets and databases dynamically linked to word processing applications. Students will also learn to integrate Photoshop into their projects and also how to use 3D modelling software to design products. Assessment will include sample Level 1 standards in readiness for Year 11.
