Year 10 Digital Information Technology

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: R. Isaacs.

Course Aims:

To offer opportunities for students to further develop knowledge and skills in digital technologies to assist them to participate safely, confidently and competently in a digital society and to transfer these skills and knowledge to other fields of learning. Also to provide the skills required for Level 1 Assessment Standards.

A year-long course of 3 lessons per week

Students will learn:

  • Programming (scratch, python, godot)

  • Design (scratch, python, html, css, godot)

  • Trialing and testing (scratch, website, godot)

Content may vary depending on cohort. Course may be tailored to group interests.


Disclaimer

For NCEA Levels 1, 2 & 3 courses will be made up of a selection of the stated standards. This will happen at the beginning of the year with the assigned teacher.
