Level 1 Health Education gives students the knowledge and skills to develop and clarify their own attitudes and values around a range of topics particularly relevant to young people. It will develop the students’ ability to make informed decisions and take action to enhance their own well-being and the well-being of those around them. Learning is through a range of key topics such as Mental Health, Resiliency, Interpersonal Skills, Sexuality Education, Drug Education and Nutrition.
This course leads to a University Entrance approved subject.
For NCEA Levels 1, 2 & 3 courses will be made up of a selection of the stated standards. This will happen at the beginning of the year with the assigned teacher.
