NCEA Level 2 Design & Visual Communication

This is a year long achievement standard based course and a continuation of knowledge and skills developed in 11 DVC. Students will undertake a Product Design brief and a Spatial Design brief, both providing evidence for Internal and External Achievement standards.

The prior learning gained in Level 1 will be used as a basis for the computer aided modelling programs used as well as more in depth design work. Traditional skills such as sketching and rendering are also used and students will also be expected to carry out research prior to and during their assignments.
