Course Description

Teacher in Charge: H. Shah.

Content/Skills:

  • Redox chemistry and understanding processes in electrochemistry;
  • Properties of particles and thermochemistry;
  • Organic chemistry; and
  • Carry out a research investigation.

This course is a University Entrance approved subject.

Field trips: Ravensdown and Lincoln University.

Recommended Prior Learning

At least 14 Credits from Level 2 Chemistry or consultation with Head of Science Faculty. Students not gaining Merit grades or better in Level 2 are likely to struggle with the Level 3 course.  

It is highly recommended that students have passed at least one external exam.
