NCEA Level 2 Foundation Studies
Course Description

Level 2 Foundation Studies further develops students life and work skills. Units of work look at communication, the financial world and how to find work. Through these units of work students will gain the necessary skills to join the workforce or to go on to further study. Students in this course will normally also be in the English Foundation course as well. Students are able to do this course across two columns.
Content/Skills:
- Work collaboratively and in a team;
- Interact with your own and others cultures in the workplace;
- Develop career goals (work experience, personal presentation); and
- Real life (team work).
This course does not lead to a University Entrance approved subject.
Recommended Prior Learning
Entrance to this course is done in consultation with the Year 12 Pastoral Team through an interview process, please ensure you have had an interview before selecting this course.

Contribution or cost towards relevant trips and activities depending on topics studied to be advised.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
Total Credits Available: 17 credits.
