NCEA Level 1 Sport & Exercise Performance
Course Description

Students will experience and participate in a wide range of physical activities in a variety of contexts. Sports and Exercise Performance will develop students understanding of their own well-being and their inter-relationships with their community and environment. The course will also look at the human body within a range of fitness and weight training settings. Students will be expected to complete a number of physical aspects of the program to the best of their ability, as they are key to assessments.
Credits for this program are a mix of both Unit and Achievement standards as well as credits in both Level 1 and Level 2 NCEA. Some written evidence is required for most of the standards.
This course does not lead to a University Entrance approved subject.
