Course Overview:

The Digital Information Practical course is designed to equip students with essential digital literacy skills, focusing on the practical application of Microsoft Office Suite and other key software tools. This course provides training in presentation software, word processing, spreadsheets, and desktop publishing. Students will gain hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary to effectively utilise digital tools for personal, academic, and professional purposes.

  1. Microsoft Content:
    • Overview of Microsoft Office Suite and its components
    • Navigation and utilisation of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  2. Presentation Software:
    • Creating engaging and professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Utilising design principles to create visually appealing media
    • Practicing effective presentation delivery techniques
  3. Word Processing:
    • Mastering the features of Microsoft Word for creating and formatting documents
    • Editing and proofreading techniques to produce error-free documents.
  4. Spreadsheets:
    • Understanding the basics of Microsoft Excel for data organisation and analysis
    • Creating and formatting spreadsheets, including the use of formulas and functions


Course Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the Digital Information Practical course, students will be able to:
