NCEA Level 3 Sport & Exercise Performance

Course Description

Sport and Exercise Performance is a very practically based subject where students will experience and participate in a wide range of physical activities in a variety of contexts. Students are required to participant full in the practical aspects of this program as it supports learning and is often needed for successful completion of the assessments.

Students will develop skills and knowledge in a range of areas including coaching and leadership, communication skills,  risk assessment and management, working with others and injury prevention.

Credits for this program are a mix of both Unit and Achievement Level 3 standard. Some written evidence is required for most of the standards.


This course is not a University Entrance approved subject.


Field trips: 1 day in Christchurch.
