NCEA Level 1 Foundation Studies
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: L. Carrick.
2023 will be the first year that students will be able to complete the NZ Certificate in Foundation Skills. This will also be worth 60 NCEA Level 1 Credits.
Content/Skills:
- Identify self management strategies;
- Interact appropriately with all people;
- Apply basic numeracy and literacy skills; and
- Identify leadership skills.
This subject does not lead to a University Entrance approved subject.
Recommended Prior Learning
Entrance to this course is done in consultation with the Senior School Pastoral Team through an interview process, please ensure you have had an interview before selecting this course.
Must be enrolled in 11ENF and 11MAF.

A contribution or cost towards relevant trips and activities may be required depending on topics studied.
