NCEA Level 2 Design & Visual Communication
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: M. Pearce
This course follows on from Year 11 and prepares students and leads onto the Level 3, Year 13 course. Year 12 DVC concentrates on using the skill gained in Year 11 and applying them to projects based around the theme "Mechanical Brief" and "Architectural Brief". Students explore the use of nature and natural forms to inspire design.
This course leads to a University Entrance approved subject.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$25 for graphic materials, including A3 blocks of cartridge paper, graphic pencils, A3 folder, set squares and ruler retained by student.

Total Credits Available: 22 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 7 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 15 credits.
