NCEA Level 1 Design & Visual Communication
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: M. Pearce
This course builds upon the knowledge and skills of Years 9 and 10, and leads to courses at Level 2 and 3. Students will be assessed with internal and external standards. Problem solving skills and communication, with sketching and CAD, are at the forefront of the skills developed in this course.
This course leads to a University Entrance approved subject.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$25 for graphic stationery, including A3 blocks of cartridge paper, graphic pencils, A3 folder, set squares and ruler retained by student.
Credit Information
Total Credits Available: 18 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 9 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 9 credits.
