NCEA Level 3 Design & Visual Communication
Course Description

This course follows on from the Year 12 DVC course and prepares students for further study at College or University. Year 13 DVC leads on perfectly from Year 12 and gives students the opportunity to take their communication and problem-solving skills to the next level. Students will solve design-based problems in the context of a "Mechanical Brief" and an "Architectural Brief".
This course leads to a University Entrance approved subject.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$25 for graphic stationery, including A3 blocks of cartridge paper, graphic pencils, A3 folder, set squares and ruler retained by student.

Total Credits Available: 16 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 10 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 6 credits.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
