NCEA Level 3 Art - Painting

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: K. Watkins.

In this course, students will explore, refine, and communicate their own artistic ideas by responding to how art expresses identity, culture, ethnicity, ideas, feelings, moods, beliefs, political viewpoints, and personal perspectives. You will produce a portfolio of work and further develop your skills in painting complex ideas. The course will guide you to produce a systematic body of work that integrates conventions and regenerates ideas within painting practice.

Recommended Prior Learning

An achieved grade or higher in the Level 2 Painting folio.
