NCEA Level 3 Science

The course will offer an opportunity to experience a broad range of Science-based Achievement Standards that are linked to different vocational pathways. Students may gain skills in Science related to Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Geology, Food and/or Health and Sport Science.
This course is a University Entrance approved subject.
Recommended Prior Learning
An interest in studying Sciences linked to industry and everyday life with 12 credits or more from a Level 2 Science subject or in consultation with the Head of Science.
Total Credits Available: 18 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 4 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 14 credits.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
