13DES

NCEA Level 3 Design & Visual Communication

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: S. Stephen.

This is a year long achievement standard based course. It continues to build on the skills and techniques developed at L2. A Product Design brief and a Spatial

Design brief will be offered and students will learn to generate ideas around techniques such as ideation.

Computer aided modelling programs may be used but the course is flexible enough to allow students to focus on their preferred areas. Traditional skills such as sketching and rendering are also used to communicate their ideas and the briefs allow some student choice.
