NCEA Level 2 Physics
Course Description

Content/Skills:
- Practical skills and physical relationships;
- Light and waves;
- Mechanics (motion, forces, momentum, energy);
- Electricity and magnetism; and
- Atomic physics.
This course leads to a University Entrance approved subject.
Field trip: One day trip to University of Canterbury.
Recommended Prior Learning
A minimum of 16 Level 1 Science credits at least 8 credits at Merit level (including AS90940) or above or in consultation with Head of Science.
It is highly recommended that AS91027 is Achieved with Merit to support the Algebra requirements in this course.
This course needs to be taken if you intend continuing with this subject at Level 3 (Year 13).
