Course Description

It is important that we produce those who both use and understand technology. To that end this course blends programming, and the use, understanding and development of common workplace tools such as database and research applications. The emphasis is on problem solving and fitness for purpose.
Standards assessed will vary depending on cohort and tailored to group interests.
- Digital Information - word processing, spreadsheets, database development;
- Digital Media - digital image manipulation, desktop publishing;
- Programing - website development and coding with Python;
- Planning and designing digital solutions that are fit for purpose; and
- Problem-solving.
This course leads to a University Entrance approved subject.
Recommended Prior Learning
Completion of 11DIT or 11DIP with at least 12 credits.
This course needs to be taken if you intend continuing with this subject at Level 3 (Year 13).
